We are passionate about missions and sharing the gospel, embodying the Great Commission through our dedicated efforts. Each year, we organize two unique short-term mission trips that span a week, allowing us to make a meaningful impact in various communities and in the hearts that participate. These trips encompass a diverse range of service activities, including physical and relational needs such as distributing food, home visits, investing into the local church and leadership, hosting Vacation Bible School and so much more. Our commitment to these missions is rooted in our desire to live out the teachings of Christ, as reflected in Matthew 28:19, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This verse inspires and drives us to extend our reach and share the love of Jesus with people far and wide.
Youth Missions
One of our mission trips is specifically designed for our Middle and High School youth group, offering them the opportunity to serve in various locations across the country, such as New Orleans, Memphis, and North Carolina. Each year, our youth are challenged and consistently rise to the occasion, demonstrating their dedication and enthusiasm in serving Jesus. During these trips, our youth engage in a variety of impactful projects, including repair and improvement of local homes and churches, sharing the gospel through personal interactions and organized events, homeless ministry and so on. These experiences not only help those in need but also foster a deeper sense of purpose and faith in our young participants who always return excited about Jesus and serving!
Churchwide Missions
The second mission trip is open to the entire church and typically involves international travel to destinations such as Cuba, Mexico, Poland, and Belize. These trips offer special opportunities for our members to step out of their comfort zones and immerse themselves in service, supporting local churches and communities in distant locations. Participants embrace new cultures, engage in meaningful projects, and build lasting friendships along the way. Whether it’s through assisting with building projects, encouraging the local church and pastor or leading Vacation Bible School sessions, these experiences not only make a tangible difference but also leave our church members feeling blessed and enriched, with a deeper appreciation for the global body of Christ.
Our Commitment to Global Missions
Missions are a vital part of the Connection Church as we are committed to building up the Global Church. We support individual missionaries and encourage our congregation to participate in short-term mission trips. Whether through going on missions, providing financial support, or praying for missions, we work together as a church body to make missions a priority.
