Part 3: Tempted Yet Triumphant

1. Jesus overcomes where Adam failed.
   1. Where humanity grasped, Jesus trusted. (Gen 3:6, Lk 4:4)
   2. His victory is for us, not just an example. Lk 4:13
2. Three temptations, One battle:
   1. APPETITE-flesh: Provision without trust. Lk 4:3-4
      1. The enemy creates urgency so we tell ourselves, “I have to do this.”
      2. Jesus trusts the Father’s provision and timing.
      3. Sons trust; slaves scramble.
   2. AMBITION-mind: Power without submission. Lk 4:5-8
      1. The enemy offers influence without obedience.
      2. Jesus refuses a kingdom without a cross.
      3. Sons inherit; impostors seize.
   3. APPROVAL-identity: Proof without relationship.     Lk 4:9-12
      1. The enemy says, “Prove it” instead of “Trust God.”
      2. Jesus rests in the Father’s approval without proof.
      3. Sons rest; orphans demand proof.
3. The reversal of the fall: How healing actually works:
   1. Identity is restored first (who I am in God). Col. 3:1
   2. Mind is renewed next (how I see reality).  Col. 3:2-4
   3. Body follows last (habits, desires, actions). Col. 3:5
