Part 19: Acting in the Face of Fear

Hebrews 11:23-31

1. Faith that defies fear. (v. 23)
   1. What would you do differently this week if you truly feared God more than man?
2. Faith that defies temptation. (vv. 24-26)
   1. He Refused
   2. He Chose
   3. He Regarded
   4. Faith doesn’t just say “no” to sin; it says “yes” to something better. Where are your eyes fixed today?
3. Faith that defies uncertainty. (vv. 27-28)
   1. The world tells you to “see it to believe it.” God calls you to believe it to see it. Faith sees the invisible and obeys the impossible—because God is faithful.
4. Faith that defies worldly wisdom. (vv. 29-31)
   1. Faith trusts God’s Word over the world’s logic.
   2. Faith saves the unlikely.
   3. Faith defies the wisdom of the world—and finds refuge in the wisdom of God.

Our boldness doesn’t come from self-confidence, but from Christ-confidence.
