Part 17: The Hall of Faith

1. The Old Testament example (2).
   1. They looked forward in the future a coming blessing of the Lord and ultimately the coming Messiah in Faith.
   2. Application: Study these imperfect examples, knowing the power of God and our future comes from knowing Him ! When was the last time you spent time in God’s word?
   3. “Study the Word, so that your faith may not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” Charles Spurgeon
   4. When we rely on our own initiative and lack of faith and preparation, we are preparing for failure.
2. The Example from Creation. (3)
   1. Scripture states we are without excuse as human beings because through the created order (what we see) the evidence for God (what is unseen) is revealed.
   2. Application: The Father commands our faithfulness through what is visible, the created order.
3. The Ongoing Example of Abel’s Sacrifice (4)
   1. The first example of faith is Abel, who brought God a more acceptable sacrifice than did his brother Cain.
   2. Application: Our Faith Decisions may seem insignificant or short term at the time, but they carry an impact that speaks through generations.
