The limitations of the Old Covenant Sanctuary: Heb. 9:1-10
1. It was an earthly sanctuary. Hebrews 9:1
2. It was a type pointing to something greater. 9:2-5

  4. Ark of the Covenant
    1. Gold jar of manna
    2. Aaron’s staff that budded
    3. The Ten Commandments
3. It was inaccessible to the people. Heb. 9:6-7
4. It was temporary. Heb. 9:8
5. Its effect was external, not internal. Heb. 9:9-10
The Superiority of the Greater Sanctuary: Hebrews 9:11-15
1. It is in heaven. Hebrews 9:11
2. The Great High Priest entered the Most Holy Place by His own blood once for all! Heb 9:12
The Result: APPLICATION:
1. He obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb. 9:12
2. He effectively removes with sin, giving you a truly clear conscience. Heb. 9:13
3. He gives you grounding for joyful and effective service to God. Heb. 9:14
4. Jesus is your mediator: You have constant and direct access. Heb. 9:15 (Heb. 4:16, 10:19-22)
5. You possess a promised eternal inheritance! Heb. 9:15

SUNDAY PRAYER: Every Sunday morning in the room just off the lobby as you enter, we have a 15–20-minute prayer time starting at 9:15 where we pray for our congregation, for our youth, our children, and our community and we would like to invite you to come and be part of that.
