Part 3: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

1. Justification: Do not let your past define you.
   1. Nothing you’ve done good in the past adds to your standing with God. Watch Legalism! Phil 3:1-7
   2. Nothing you’ve done bad in the past takes away from your standing with God. Watch Shame! Phil. 3:8, 13
   3. Your righteousness (forgiveness, identity, purpose, immortality) comes 100% from Jesus. Watch Jesus!! Phil. 3:9, Heb. 12:1-3
   4. And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. Phil 3:9
2. Sanctification: How do you live now?
   1. Make your daily goal to know Jesus and abide in Him. Phil. 3:10, John 15:1-9, Col 2:2
      1. Become more deeply acquainted with Him. Phil 3:10a
      2. Experience resurrection Power living. Phil 3:10b
      3. Face with confidence, suffering you must endure. Phil 3:10c
   2. Recognize, your sanctification is a process, and you have not arrived. Phil 3:12
   3. Choose to forget the past. Phil 3:13
   4. Strain or work hard to accomplish the goal and win the prize. Phil 3:14
   5. Hold your progress—don’t go backwards. Phil 3:15-16
3. Glorification: You have an amazing future.
   1. Those who live only for now, who don’t know Christ face destruction; Live with them in on your heart and mind. Phil 3:17-19
   2. Our citizenship is in heaven. Phil. 3:20a
   3. Eagerly await your Savior from there. Phil. 3:20b
   4. Your “lowly body” will be transformed to be like His immortal, glorious body. Phil 3:21
