Part 10: The Choice
Message
Application: What will you do? James 1:22, John 13:17
Which 3 are the most consistent and embraced in your life?
Which 3 need the most attention?
What Actions will you take moving forward?
Lifted Up: Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” John 3:14-15; Numbers 21:4-9
Parallels between the Israelites and us:
Look and live!
- Ditch Debt: eliminate consumer debt.
- Monitor Spending: track with a budget where the money goes.
- Generosity: give generously to the Lord’s work.
- Invest it: intentionally invest in assets for your future.
- Save It: save at least 3-6 months of expenses.
- Good work: embrace and maximize your employment.
- Pay it Forward: teach your children about handling money.

- The serpent on the pole is not preventative, they have already been bitten.
- The means God uses to rescue the people from his own curse is a picture of the curse itself. 2 Cor. 5:2, Gal. 3:13
- All they have to do in order to be saved from God’s wrath is look at his provision hanging on a pole; the cure is completely outside of them.
Parallels between the Israelites and us:
- We too, have been bitten—not by a poisonous snake, but by the poison of sin.
- We too need a cure to break the curse or we face certain, eternal death.
- Just as God provided the cure to His people in the desert, so has He provided a cure to us; restoring immortality and eternal life.
Look and live!
